Oleta Chloe McLerran was born March 26, 1927, in Elk City, Oklahoma, to Howard Duree and Fannie Spradlin Duree. She passed away June 21, 2014, at Home Plate Assisted Living in Gilbert, Arizona. Chloe was 87 years old. Her mother, Fannie, died when Chloe was 9 years old, and her dad married Pearl Jane Berry. She grew up on a farm south of Canute, Oklahoma. She married Jack McLerran December 23, 1943. They had two sons, Gary and Randy McLerran. Chloe was a realtor, broker, insurance agent, developer and owned the Windmill restaurant. She was preceded in death by her dad, H.O. Duree, mother, Fannie Duree, step-mother Pearl Duree, sister Lorene Dunlap and nephew Ronnie Dunlap. Chloe is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Sue McLerran of Mesa, Arizona, and Randy and Pam McLerran and one great-granddaughter, Zoe McLerran of Mesa, Arizona, husband for 43 years, Jack McLerran of Burns Flat, Oklahoma, one niece Loralee Cassidy of Kansas City, Missouri, and many great nieces, nephews and friends. Graveside service will be at Canute Cemetery, Canute, Oklahoma, Saturday, August 2, 2014, at 10:00 a.m.
