Dale Reeves, 79, resident of Dill City, Oklahoma, was born on November 23, 1934, in Cordell, Oklahoma, to John and Dala (Risinger) Reeves, and passed away on Monday, June 23, 2014, at his home in Dill City, Oklahoma. Dale was born in Cordell, Oklahoma, and attended school in Dill City, Oklahoma, and graduated in 1953. He married Wilma Gambrell on December 10, 1955, in Dill City. Dale served in the Army Reserves 95th Division. He and his wife Wilma farmed in Washita County for many years. He owned and operated Reeves Welding. Dale enjoyed playing dominos, reading and watching westerns. He also enjoyed playing baseball in his younger years. Dale enjoyed farming and tending to his cattle. He attended the Dill City First Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Dale was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Janelle Perkey. Survivors include his wife Wilma Reeves: one brother Gene Reeves and wife Patsy of Dill City. A host of dear nieces, nephews and their families, and the Gambrell family. Funeral services were held Thursday, June 26, 2014, at the Dill City First Baptist Church with Rev. Loyd Hall and Rev. Ron Roskam officiating. Burial was at North Burns Cemetery in Burns Flat, Oklahoma, under the direction of Musick-Varner Funeral Home Cordell, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers the family wishes memorials be made to the Dill City School Memorial fund.
