Wanda Lou Martindale

Wanda Lou Martindale was born August 23, 1933, in Atlanta, Texas, to Georgia Mae and Greely H. Headrick. She passed away June 22, 2014, in Burns Flat, Oklahoma, at the age of 80 years, nine months and 29 days.
Wanda moved to Elk City, Oklahoma, with her parents as a young child. She worked for Little Giant Pump Co. in Oklahoma City and had her own day care in her home for a number of years. She was married to John William
Martindale at Vernon, Texas, in 1985, and they made their home in Moore, Oklahoma. After John passed away in 2009, she moved to Burns Flat, Oklahoma. Wanda attended the Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, and four brothers. She is survived by her two daughters, Glenda Barker and husband, Glen, Blair, Oklahoma, Angela Ross, Burns Flat, Oklahoma; one son, Allen Ross, Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma; step son, Steve Martindale Midwest City, Oklahoma; two sisters, Laverne Harrington, Elk City, Oklahoma, Darla Horstkoetter, Elk City, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, nine great- grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Whinery-Savage Chapel officiated by Bro. Joe Sapp. Burial will be at Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Whinery- Savage Funeral Service. Condolences can be made online at www.whineryfs.com
