Certain people are so universally despised, their deaths turn into massive celebrations. Washington, DC, saw celebrations in the streets when Osama Bin Laden’s death was reported, and now, Westboro Baptist founder Fred Phelps’ death has caused many to openly celebrate. Many readers may have heard of Phelps from his church’s practice of picketing funerals of fallen soldiers, as well as his church’s fierce rhetoric toward homosexuals, among others.
