Dana Jean Moore, 88, was born in Washita County near Cordell, on October 6, 1925, to Sammie (Lowe) and Wood McKee. She rejoined her husband of more than 59 years on February 26, 2014, after a ten year struggle with Alzheimer's disease. Dana was a member of the Church of Christ. She found much fulfillment and joy working in county government which she did for many years and was the first female county treasurer of Washita County. She was preceded in death by her parents Sammie and Wood Mckee, brothers, Dall and Jimmy Mckee, as well as her husband Marvin D. Moore. Those left with fun filled, loving, memories are her daughter and son in law Marva J. (Moore) and Ron Wolf of Edmond, Oklahoma, as well as three grandchildren and their spouses, Michelle D. (Smith) and Wayne Shoemaker of Elmhurst, Illinois, Dal and Lexi Wolf of Los Angeles, and Danielle (Wolf) and Steve Serratore of Los Angeles. Dana was the proud great-granny of Cole, eleven, Blake, nine, Chase, seven, and Brooke, four, Shoemaker and Ettiene, two, and Emerson, nine months, Serratore. Dana was a loving, fun, and giving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed, remembered and spoken of often by her family. Knowing that she is free of disease, peaceful, and with loved ones gone before makes her transition easier on all. A private celebration of her life will be held by her family. Condolences can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
