Funeral services for Jessie “Fern” Kirk were held at 10:30 am, Friday, November 8, 2013, at Eastside Baptist Church, Oklahoma. Pastor Sean Estes of Eastside Baptist Church officiated. Graveside services followed at Elk  City Fairlawn Cemetery, under the direction of Martin Funeral Home, 600 W. Country Club, Elk City, Oklahoma, 73644. Jessie “Fern” Kirk, 88, of Elk  City, Oklahoma, went home to spend Eternal Life with Jesus on November 4, 2013. Fern was born near Sentinel, Oklahoma, on March 8, 1925. She attended Dill City Schools and later received a Certification in Reflexology. She received Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior dren;  grandchildren; sister-inlaw, Wanda Mullins; brotherin- law, George Beardsley; and many nieces and nephews. Her six grandchildren were the light of her life and then she was blessed to hold and love three great  grandchildren. She resided in Edmond, Oklahoma, at the time of her death having previously lived in Oklahoma City, Burns Flat, and Dallas, Texas.  She was a life long member in Dill City, Oklahoma, at the age of 12. Fern was married to Clarence Arthur “Kerney” Price in 1941. They were married 29 years. Following Kerney’s death in 1970, Fern married Clifford Kirk in 1972. They were married 41 years.  Fern was a joyful homemaker, wife, and mother. She truly had a servant’s heart, loved and cared for her family, enjoyed attending worship services, reading her Bible, praying, music, dancing, traveling, quality time with loved ones, cooking, camping, fishing, and all aspects of life. She was also actively involved in church activities including Vacation Bible School, children’s nursery, fellowship meals, and Women’s WMU. She worked at the Elk City Community Hospital and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. Mrs. Kirk was a longtime member of the Eastside Baptist Church. Fern is preceded in death by her parents Roy Morgan and Lillie Ridling Morgan; husband and father of her children  Clarence “Kerney” Price; son Jerry Price; granddaughter Staci Price; grandsons Joey and Bruce Price; brothers J.T. and Tracy Morgan; and a daughter in law, Marianne Price. Fern is survived by her husband, Clifford Kirk; three sons, C.A. Price and wife Rhonda of Thomas, Oklahoma, Terry Price of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Bill Price and wife Suzy of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Lillie Fern Varnell and husband Roy; daughter-in-law Delores Price of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
